Milestones

Happy 20th Anniversary
Mum and Dad

My beautiful Mumma on her wedding day.

My sister and I were flower girls but we were too scared to walk down the aisle alone.
So we walked together. The four of us.

When my Dad married our Mum he not only made a commitment to her but he made a commitment to us. That even though he wasn't our biological father he would still be there for us every step of the way. He gave us a ring to symbolise his love for us.

My grandparents, Mum and Dad, my sister and Me (right) after the ceremony!

Cutting of the cake.

Words can not explain the love, appreciation, and gratitude I have for my Mum and Dad. They constantly protect, guide, support, sacrifice, believe, encourage and most of care about us in a way that we can never ever repay them for. I hope they know that each and every day I thank god for having them in my life. They are my greatest gift.

We sure do live in a truly beautiful country. We get the best of 'all worlds' here in the land down under. I am so lucky to have been brought up in such a unique, diverse, rich and truly stunning place. Here is our amazing life in Australia.

I have been blessed with an adventure seeking husband and together we have traveled to some amazing places around our gorgeous country. Back in 2010 we took our adventures that one step further and went to the heart of Australia. Uluru.

An experience and mind blowing adventure that I will never ever forget.

There is one place in Australia that will always hold a very special place in my heart.
Our very own little slice of Australia.
Our Home

Happy Australia Day my fellow Aussies.
Today be thankful for this amazing gift.
Australia.

Pain, Jojoba and Doggy Cuddles

It is finally Friday! Oh my goodness this has been a hard week! My back pain has increased by 100000% and I am at the point where I can not walk or bend without feeling physically sick with pain. This is very hard when looking after 4 toddlers each day but I'm pushing though the pain for the sake of the kids. They haven't known any different and I have still played and danced and had so much fun with them all. Although I put my pain on hold for the sake of the kids I can not WAIT until 5.20 this afternoon when I can see a doctor and start getting some answers as to what I have actually done. Eeek I'm scared. Please be nothing!

Last night the pain was so excruciating I couldn't even sit down so I ran myself a very hot bath and just laid in there for about an hour. Oh man I was pain free for that whole hour and it was bliss. I added Jojoba oil to the bath and I came out silky and smooth. This is going on my calendar. Must have jojoba oil bath at least once a week. Heaven!

Our dogs have slept in our bed every night this week! Are we suckers or what? When I come to bed after a long hard day I can't help but smile and my heart absolute bursts with love. Aren't they just the cutest of cute! Mans best friend.

I went for a little walk onto our street yesterday just to stretch out my back. A light sprinkling of rain was falling and it was absolutely gorgeous. When I looked back at our house our gorgeous frangipani took my breath away. The colors are so vibrant and stunning. It is my grandmas favourite  tree. Now I know why. D.I.V.I.N.E!

We have a big weekend coming up and it is absolutely POURING!
Months of dry 40 degree celsius weather and it pour on the long weekend!
Let's cross our fingers and toes that it magically disappears! Yeah right!

And just because it's Friday I thought I would celebrate with a little car party!

Have a beautiful weekend!

18 Minutes

Last night I went to the gym for my favourite class Body Combat. I have 2 favourites. Body Combat and Body Pump. ha ha ha. Who would of thought hey? Half way through I had to ditch. I have never given up in the whole time I have been at the gym! I literally had to walk out of the class half way through and I was fuming at myself. My back had flared up last week and the twisting and turning and kicking in combat just absolutley killed me and I had to stop. I had to be real and think about looking after myself. I knew I couldn push myself, even though I wanted to.

I went straight onto the treadmill to warm down my body. After 2 minutes of walking something inside snapped and I started running. I ran and I didn't stop. I don't know whether it was the anger from having to walk out of the class or the determination to push myself but I ran and ran. I didn't have any music on and I wasn't measuring my distance. All I had was the timer on my treadmill. My plan was to run 3 minutes, walk 2 minutes. That's what I can do. I can run 3 minutes. Easy. Well nope I just kept running and didn't stop and I ended up running 18 MINUTES! A massive fist pump for that. That is by far the longest I have ever run in my life. I pushed myself last year and ran for 6 minutes and I thought that was pretty awesome, but 18, holy gosh! Amazing!

I caught the running bug last night.
Now I want to keep pushing myself and see where I can take this.
It was simply mind over matter. That's it. Nothing else.
Let's see where this takes me.

Reece, Hair and a Plumber

I went to the Reece Mastin Concert. Yep you heard correctly. I went to the Reece Mastin concert. I was asked by my next door neighbour to go with their 13 year old daughter to the concert. When we arrived we stood next to another teenage girl and her father (snaps for her father) He gave me that look and a knowing smile as if to say "oh how did you get roped into this" I smiled back and laughed inside because he seriously had no idea who he was talking to. I think he realised by the end of the night. I danced and fist pumped and rocked out harder than all of the teenagers there. I had the night of my life. Tahlia did as well. We sung together, danced together and laughed together. She had a ball. I had a ball. It was a fun night and I am so happy we got to rock out together! My name is Sarah and I am a 27 year old LIL ROCKER ;-)

I was given a voucher for one of my favourite stores "Cotton On Body" for my birthday from my Aunty, Uncle and Cousins! I got these 3 bright pieces and I LOVE them! What better way to motivate yourself to exercise then some new fluros! Snaps for me for choosing awesome colours that matched!

"The Carrie Diaries" started here in Australia on Tuesday and I have been dying to see it! I have both the books and I tried to finish reading them before the series started but life happened and it got busy and before I knew it I was sitting in front of "Carrie" drinking hot chocolate and doing my nails. It was awesome and I loved it! I didn't care that the story line didn't quite matched the story line of "Sex and the City" It was fun and girly and I was hooked!

Rob came home early and came in to say hello to the Kindy kids. He drew on the blackboard and it was so funny watching 4 toddlers just hanging off his every move. It was also funny watching Rob put a lot of time and detail into his 'sun'. The kids loved it.

I would like to announce that I have decided to go 'steady' with my hairdresser. I have mentioned in the past that I've never found a hairdresser that I have truly liked. Well well well she has finally come and I may be head over heels. My hair has never looked so beautiful and she has found a pretty colour that really 'hides' the greys and makes me look 27 again and not 67.

We had a HUGE celebration in our household this week. After 5 long years of work and study Rob finally received his certificate and is officially a plumber! I am so proud! Words are frantically swimming around in my head and I need to say more, but that will come.

We've started "co-sleeping" again. Oh dear lord. Our dogs are 'outside' dogs. Yeah right. I do love the snuggles. I just cant help it! I think we need to upgrade our bed because there clearly is no room for me! I need to go to bed early in order to get a spot. These were taken on night 1 and 2. Bindi is clearly loving it sick!

We were invited to our friends house for dinner. They have their own little pizzeria in their pack yard. Home made pizzas cooked in a pizza oven is divine! Nutella and banana on home made pizza cooked in a pizza oven is pretty much equivalent to heaven.

Sunday I took a big step and went and visited the 3 little angels I used to nanny for. I've tried to separate myself for a little bit because leaving them and quitting my job was the hardest thing I've ever had to do. It hurt and I needed to heal. I missed them, so I went to visit them at their beach house. Oh my goodness the minute I saw them my heart broke into a thousand pieces. They have grown so much and instead of being the 3 little babies I looked after, they are now 3 huge grown up beach babes. They blew my mind with how old and mature they were and even though it has only been 4 months since I have been with them it honestly felt like a life time. I need them in my life. When I got home I cried, long and hard, and made a promise to myself that I will never leave it that long again.

Sunday night is family dinner night and on this particular night we celebrated. We celebrated my favourite person because he is just simply awesome. He worked hard and put everything he had into this apprenticeship and now its over. He did it!
